
Town Meeting voted to reduce the Water Sewer Enterprise Fund appropriation for the MWRA adjustment in a three-part motion in Article Five on Thursday, November 7.Â
Water and Sewer Enterprise expenses changed due to a $90,664 decrease in the MWRA operating and maintenance assessment and a $71,031 debt assessment increase when compared to the amount used in the budget. The town includes a portion of Water and Sewer debt in the tax levy, which resulted in a $61,406 increase. This revised budget appropriated Retained Earnings, which decreased by $81,039.
The first motion reduced the Water and Sewer Enterprise Fund for the fiscal year 2014 by $19,633 from the Other Funds.

The second motion appropriated the $8,094,757 from the Enterprise Fund for various services for fiscal year 2014. $1,133,670 will go to the Personal Services, 6,899,087 will go to Other Services, $62,000 will go to Equipment and $1,127,911 was appropriated from the General Fund at the Spring 2013 Town Meeting for indirect costs.
The third motion appropriated various expenses to fund the Water and Sewer Enterprise in accordance with Chapter 110 laws. $5,007,893 was appropriated from Water and Sewer receipts, $151,295 from Retained Earnings and $4,063,480 from the property tax levy.
