Two Fundraisers in Melrose to Benefit Boston Marathon Bombing Victims

Here is a look at some of the things going on in the Winchester region from June 1-2:

1. Town Day: The 32nd annual Winchester Town Day is slated for 8 a.m. to around 9 p.m. Saturday at various locations around town.

2. Dance off: A Jacki Sorensen's Aerobic Dance-a-thon fundraiser for One Fund Boston is scheduled for 3-6 p.m. Sunday at Melrose High School.

3. Fundraiser for injured Stonehamite: Beacon Hill Wine & Gourmet in Melrose will be hosting a fundraiser starting at noon on Saturday. All proceeds will benefit Stoneham resident Marc Fucarile, who lost a leg and suffered other injuries during the second blast at the Boston Marathon on April 15.

4. Teddy-bear check-up: Stone Zoo will be hosting a Teddy Bear Check-up Day from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday in Stoneham. Zoo admission costs $14 for adults, $10 for children ages 2-12 and $12 for seniors. Children under age 2 get in for free.
