Winchester Celebrates Memorial Day

1. It could be a wet Memorial Day with 30 percent chance of rain throughout the day, according to the National Weather Service. Most of the day will be cloudy with a high near 75 degrees. The night could bring more thunderstorms with temperatures in the low 60s.

2. Men and women who have died in the U.S. military are being honored across the country for the sacrifices they have made serving their country. Winchester is honoring them by hosting its annual Memorial Day parade starting at 9 a.m. running from the taking a trip around town and ending at the Post Office. The  sponsors this town event with marching bands, local veterans, town officials and local politicians marching in the parade. 4. While Memorial Day kicks off vacation season for most of us, more importantly, it's the start of grilling season.
