Winchester Celebrates Memorial Day

Here is some information to get you through Monday, May 28.

1. It could be a wet Memorial Day with 30 percent chance of rain throughout the day, according to the National Weather Service. Most of the day will be cloudy with a high near 75 degrees. The night could bring more thunderstorms with temperatures in the low 60s.

2. Men and women who have died in the U.S. military are being honored across the country for the sacrifices they have made serving their country. Winchester is honoring them by hosting its annual Memorial Day parade starting at 9 a.m. running from the taking a trip around town and ending at the Post Office. The  sponsors this town event with marching bands, local veterans, town officials and local politicians marching in the parade. 3. Before you head out to the Post Office or go chat with the police department about that citation from last week, better check the first. If you have a business that's closed today you want to add to list, just add it in the comments to keep the list growing.

4. While Memorial Day kicks off vacation season for most of us, more importantly, it's the start of grilling season.
