Winchester Hero Honored By Celtics

WINCHESTER, MA — Winchester, you have a hero among you. Well, likely several heroes, but one was honored Tuesday night by the Boston Celtics as a 'Hero Among Us' during halftime.

John Downs has combined his UNH studio art degree and love of engineering to create elaborate Halloween displays as part of his Halloween Helping Kids fundraiser. People from all over New England have come to check out the theatrics (see the video below!) Visitors can make donations, which benefit Boston Children's Hospital.

Since 2013, the displays have raised more than $28,000 to directly support medical care for patients at Children’s Hospital.
