Art Souza, Longtime Worcester Promoter, Dies
Souza ran a nightclub for many years in Worcester and condolences are pouring in.

WORCESTER, MA— Arthur "Art" Souza, a well-known promoter and scenester in the Worcester area in the '90s and early 2000s, has died, according to a spokesperson from Massachusetts General Hospital.
Souza, whose wife Becca Connolly died in 2005, was outspoken in life - and on social media - and was well known in Worcester. He owned and and ran Liquid Sky in the '90s and early 2000s.
Under Souza's most recent post on Sunday, friends urge Souza to seek help and for the police to be called, with Connolly's sister commenting, "Art has been struggling for so long and did everything in his power to try and hold it all together- he loved my sister more than anyone else could have and has been such a strong support for me since she’s passed- he tried so hard and I admire him so much for dealing with the pain he’s felt for as long as he did. I wanted to update all who cared for him that he has passed on. I will be picking the dogs up in the morning and will update here about services for him. He was so loved and will be so dearly and incredibly missed."
