Boston Man Sought After Shooting At Route 12 Motel

WEST BOYLSTON, MA — A man and a woman were injured Wednesday night after a shooting at a motel along Route 12 in West Boylston, according to police.

The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Classic Suites. A man in his girlfriend were visited in one of the rooms by someone they knew, police said. That person, identified as Brandon Coldwell, 27, of Boston, pulled out a gun and demanded money from the victims.

According to police, Coldwell shot the victim during a struggle. Coldwell then left the motel in a cab. The victim was taken to UMass Memorial in Worcester for non-life threatening injuries.

Police issued a warrant for Coldwell on charges of armed assault to murder, armed assault to rob, possession of a firearm without a permit and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
