Brewkulele brings the Ukuleles and Good Times to Greater Good!
Brewkulele, a new "night out" event where participants from no experience to hobbyists learn a song while enjoying some good food and drink.
“What could be better than going out for some drinks and laughs with your friends? Learning a song on ukulele AND having some drinks and laughs with your friends”, says co-owner of Brewtainment USA, Richard Sanger.
Brewkulele, created by Richard, Max Larson, and Ryan Fleming, is a new monthly event coming to Greater Good Imperial Brewery in Worcester. The first event at Greater Good is this coming Sunday, March 24th at 12pm. Tickets are available at the Brewkulele website, www.brewkulele.com.
“What is Brewkulele?”, you may ask. “Brewkuele is for people who want to try something new”, Richard explains. “It is for people who have never played ukulele or any instrument before and it is also for more experienced hobbyists. You can come in at 12 not knowing a thing about music. When you leave 2 hours later, you will know how to play a song!”

Brewkulele provides all attendees with specially set up ukuleles to use for the event. Richard recommends that, even for those who have their own ukuleles, all participants use them. “We have them set up in a way that goes along with our instructional methods. Also, there are different types of ukuleles that are in different tunings. We want to keep everybody in the same key!”

The event host, Greater Good, is a new player in the burgeoning brewery industry. “Greater Good was established by Paul and Sharmin Wengender in 2015”, says manager Melissa Sherry. “The company started when Paul found that his home brews tested well in the market. Our Brewery located at 55 Millbrook St. in Worcester has been open for one year.”
Greater Good has established itself as a favorite with locals by scheduling a wide variety of events. Melissa shares “We host 2 to 5 events every week! From semi-private birthday parties, to corporate meetings and Brewkulele!”

“As the event coordinator of Greater Good, my goal is to provide as many diverse opportunities for our guests as possible. We have something for everyone!”, Melissa exclaims. “From aromatherapy yoga, to creating your own hand-crafted piece of jewelry and learning the ukulele, you can make new friends and learn about yourself in our Tap Room!”
With Melissa’s desire to share a variety of fun and exciting events at Greater Good and Brewkulele being a unique “night out” type of event, it seems to be a perfect match.
Richard says, “We are thrilled to partner with Melissa and Greater Good in bringing Brewkulele to Worcester. We feel that this event will be a blast. Once people hear what Brewkulele is, they are excited to sign up.”
“Many people think it takes some special in-born talent to pick up an instrument and play a song,” Richard says, but he, along with co-owners Max and Ryan, are out to challenge this belief. “We are here to show you that you can come to Brewkulele as a complete newbie and walk out knowing how to play a song.”
Brewkulele is this Sunday, April 28th from 12pm to 2pm. Tickets are $30 and are available at the Brewkulele website, www.brewkulele.com. Ticket price does not include food and drink. This event is 21 & up.
