WORCESTER, MA — Chris Evans was in Worcester, but fans didn't get a glimpse of the Captain America star as he was filming on a closed set. The actor was shooting a scene for the Apple TV+ television miniseries “Defending Jacob." Evans stayed on the closed set on Suffolk Street.

The shoot was scheduled from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday and may have featured the local bar Vincent's in the scene. According to the Worcester Telegram and Gazette Evans kept to himself between shots, staying in the bar when he could.

Even if Evans didn't make an appearance, fans were happy to have him in the city. Several took to Twitter to coerce the star out.
