Cow Killed In Silo Collapse At Lunenberg Barn
The silo collapsed onto the barn, said police. A cow had to be euthanized.

LUNENBERG, MA—A cow had to be euthanized after a silo collapsed onto a barn in Lunenberg on Sunday morning.
Around 10:50 a.m., Lunenburg police and fire were dispatched to 598 Leominster Road, Cherry Hill Farm, for a report of a structural collapse. The silo at Cherry Hill had collapsed onto the face of the main barn. No injuries to humans occurred, but a cow was struck by debris and had to be euthanized by employees before police arrived.
Lunenburg Fire Department, the Building Department, assisted by the Regional Technical Rescue Team, are evaluating the condition of the building to safely remove 13 calves that are trapped inside the barn, said police. The incident is under investigation by the Fire Department and the Building Department.
