'Dangerous' Fugitive Suspected Of Setting Fires Wanted By Police

The potentially armed and dangerous fugitive from Pittsfield is wanted in connection with setting four fires.

PITTSFIELD, MA—A potentially armed and dangerous fugitive is wanted by police for four suspected arsons committed in Pittsfield.

On Saturday around 6:42 p.m., the first of four suspected arsons happened in Pittsfield, ultimately hitting residences on Appleton Avenue, Fort Hill Avenue, Ridge Avenue and Brown Street.

These fires are all believed to have been intentionally ignited by Phillip Jordan, 58, of Pittsfield, said police. Jordan is described as being a white male with long salt & pepper hair, 5'7", weighing 135 pounds. Jordan is believed to be operating a blue 2005 Subaru Legacy, with MA license plate 7LJA90.

Jordan is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Jordan, or who witnesses suspicious activity involving anyone matching his description, is asked to immediately contact the Pittsfield Police Dept. at 413-448-9700 and press 0 to speak with a dispatcher, or call 911.
