HARVARD, MA — The summer estate of famed Boston chef and cookbook author Fannie Farmer is up for sale in Harvard. The enormous home sits on 8 acres, and is asking a relatively reasonable $1.25 million.

Farmer popularized the use of measuring cups and spoons in home cooking in her 1896 work "The Boston Cooking-School Cook Book." She died in 1915 at age 57, the same year this home was built. But it has been completely renovated, including a new kitchen.
