WORCESTER, MA—ERA Key Realty Services of Northbridge announced on Tuesday that Donald Haapakoski, a retired police chief from Rutland, has joined the Worcester office as a realtor.

“Having used ERA Key Realty Services personally, as a client, I knew it to be a great company,” Haapakoski said in a statement. “Based on my experience, I recognized that it would be a strong move to begin my real estate career there.”

Haapakoski, a resident of Oakham, served as Rutland’s chief of police from 2010 to 2017 and was chief of police in Oakham, Holland and Ayer from 1997 to 2010. He matriculated into the Public Administration program at Clark University and graduated from the New England Institute of Law Enforcement Management at Babson College.
