Details about a larger procession for Familia have not been released as of Monday morning. St. John's is the same church where Worcester fire Lt. Jason Menard's funeral was held in 2019.
Familia drowned Friday after responding to the pond at Green Hill Park on a report of swimmers in distress. He went into the way to try to rescue Troy Love, 14, who slipped underwater while trying to swim across the pond with members of his family.
