GooGoo Dolls, Train Coming To MA

The two iconic bands of the late '90s and early '00s are coming to Tanglewood and Mansfield's Xfinity Center in August.

The Goo Goo Dolls and Train, two of the biggest bands of the late 1990s and early 2000s, will take off on a summer tour in 2019, hitting 39 different venues including Tanglewood on Aug. 5 and the Xfinity Center in Mansfield on Aug. 17.

The Goo Goo Dolls, formed in Buffalo, New York, in 1986, had their greatest success in 1998 with the release of the multi-platinum album, "Dizzy Up The Girl." The album yielded several hit singles, including "Iris" and "Slide." They have sold more than 12 million albums and score more than a dozen Top Ten singles.

Train had its biggest hit in 2001 with the single "Drops of Jupiter," which came from the double-platinum album of the same name, and followed up with "Calling All Angels" their next album, "My Private Nation."

Rounding out the show will be Allen Stone, an R&B/soul musician
