High Winds Knock Out Power For 1,500+ In Worcester County
The gusts picked up on Saturday afternoon, causing power problems in Worcester County.

WORCESTER COUNTY, MA—Gusts picked up by mid-afternoon, kicking off what is likely to be more power outages in the area.
Worcester County by 3:45 p.m. on Saturday had 1,534 without power, according to National Grid. Of the 300,845 National Grid customers in the county, 1,534 were without, mostly in Worcester proper, which accounted for 1,026 outages. Northborough had 182 and Millbury with 61 at 4 p.m. A restore time predicted for 6:15 p.m.
A high wind warning is in effect for Central and Northeast Massachusetts on Saturday for the area through 7 p.m., with gusts that could build up to 60 mph.

Strong winds may blow down limbs, trees, and power, according to National Grid., with scattered outages expected. The areas affected include Framingham, Foxborough, Milford, Worcester, Framingham, Boston, Lawrence and Ayer.
