How To Dispose Of Your Christmas Tree In Worcester

Worcester will begin collecting Christmas trees on Dec. 26, according to the public works department.

WORCESTER, MA — All the gifts are opened, and pretty soon you'll start to see tiny pine needles gathering on your living room floor. That means it's time to start thinking about an exit strategy for your Christmas tree.

In Worcester, residents have to take trees to one of three collection sites. There will be no curbside Christmas tree pickup this year. The good news is the city will begin accepting trees right away starting on Dec. 26.

These three collection sites are open 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends through Jan. 12. These sites will only accept real trees (no artificial ones) that have had ALL ornaments removed — including tinsel.
