Machete Attack In Worcester Ends In Arrest

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police have arrested a 30-year-old following a machete attack late Monday night along Chandler Street.

Worcester police went to a gas station near Chandler and Irving streets just before 11:30 p.m. after a report of a fight. At the scene, they found a 23-year-old man who had been stabbed and slashed several times, police said.

Police later arrested Courtney Mallory, 30, of Worcester, on a charge of armed assault with intent to murder.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment, but his injuries were not life-threatening, police said.
