Man Stabbed, Robbed After Meeting Woman From Internet

The victim said he met a woman and her friend on the street after they conversed on the Internet. From there, he was robbed and stabbed.

WORCESTER, MA—A man says he was robbed and stabbed after meeting a woman he met on the Internet.

On Tuesday, Oct. 16, around 2:43 a.m., police responded to 7-11 on Main Street for a reported stabbing. A 23-year-old man had been stabbed in the abdomen. He was conscious and alert, stabilized at the scene, and transported to a hospital.

The victim said he went to the area of Henshaw Street to meet a woman and her friend, only knowing the girl from the internet. When they met at the designated location and began to walk on Henshaw Street, they were approached by two men who attempted to rob him. The victim resisted and was subsequently stabbed. The men and two women took off on foot, and the victim walked back to the 7-11.

There is little suspect information at this time. The victim was unable to be interviewed as he was about to have exploratory surgery.
