Men In Their 70s Shot, Beaten In Worcester Road Rage Incident
The two men — ages 77 and 74 — started an argument with a group of dirt bikers in southeast Worcester on Wednesday evening.
WORCESTER, MA — A 77-year-old man was shot and a 74-year-old hit with a rock Wednesday night in Worcester during a road rage incident, according to police.
The two men were injured just before 6 p.m. near Sunderland Road and Route 20 after they got into an argument with several people riding dirt bikes, Worcester police said.
"The initial investigation indicated that several individuals on dirt bikes were driving erratically on Sunderland Road onto Southwest Cutoff," police said in a news release. "The two victims were driving together in a vehicle, and one of them engaged in a verbal dispute with the dirt bike riders."

Police did not immediately make any arrests, but did release a photo of a person who may have been involved.

The 77-year-old was shot in the leg, and he and the other victim were both treated at a local hospital.
