Oxford Man Wins $4 Million Mass. Lottery Prize
Thomas Minarik's Sunday routine of buying two "Monopoly Jackpot" tickets finally payed off.

OXFORD, MA – Oxford resident Thomas Minarik won $4 million from the Massachusetts State Lottery on a recent Sunday, when he bought two "Monopoly Jackpot" instant tickets as part of his Sunday routine. He chose to take his winnings as a lump sum. Before taxes, that left him with $2.6 million.
Minarik is considering taking advantage of his winnings to retire, according to the Lottery. He also plans to help his niece and nephew pay off their student loans.
The store that sold Minarik's ticket, Southside Convenience, 182 Main St. in Oxford, will also receive a $40,000 bonus for having sold the winning ticket.
