Pentatonix, often just abbreviated “PTX,” is an a cappella band formed in Texas in 2011. The five members got their start doing their own takes on classic Christmas songs and pop hits, blending vocal harmonies with beatboxing, bass lines and riffing.

After winning $200,000 on NBC's “The Sing-Off,” Pentatonix signed a deal with Sony Music. Their third album, release, “PTX, Volume II” debuted in the No. 1 position on the Billboard chart of Independent Albums. They’ve won three Grammy Awards, including Best Country Duo/Group Performance in 2017.
