Revered Shrewsbury Italian Deli Seeking Worcester Location
Napoli Italian Deli and Catering wants to open in a building along Plantation Street in Worcester.

WORCESTER, MA — One of the region's most popular Italian restaurants is trying to move to Worcester.
Shrewsbury's Napoli Italian Deli and Catering, located just across Lake Quinsigamond, is finalizing plans to move into a former dry cleaning business at 298 Plantation St. The owners have an upcoming hearing in Worcester to approve the new location.
"For those of you who are already loyal customers that we appreciate so much, please come and share your experiences and let people know that we will be a great asset to the community at the new location," the owners said in a message posted on the deli's website.

Napoli owner Ron Haddad bought the deli formerly known as Francesca's in 2002, and renamed it in 2008. The deli is known for its sandwiches and its brick oven pizza, and a variety of classic pasta dishes. The deli is on a winter break until Feb. 1.
The new location would put Napoli within sight of Belsito's Deli, another beloved Worcester sandwich shop.
