RI Man Arrested With Guns, $120K After I-290 Stop
The 51-year-old was spotted driving in the middle of two lanes near exit 9, police said.

WORCESTER, MA — State police arrested a Providence-area man early Thursday morning after finding an array of guns and over $100,000 in cash after a traffic stop along I-290.
A trooper pulled over George Richards, 51, of Riverside, RI, after seeing him driving between two lanes near exit 9. During the stop, the trooper saw a gun on the passenger side floor of the car.
After a deeper search of the car, the trooper found four handguns, 177 rounds of ammunition and about $120,000 in a satchel. The trooper also found that Richards had two arrest warrants in Massachusetts.

Richards was held on charges of illegal possession of a gun, possession of a large capacity feeding device, possession of ammunition without a license and a marked lanes violation.
