Severe Thunderstorm Warning In Worcester County

The thunderstorm could not only bring heavy rain but high gusts of wind and lightning.

WORCESTER COUNTY, MA—A severe thunderstorm warning is in place through 6:15 p.m. in Worcester County.

According to the National Weather Service the warning applies to southern Worcester County in Central Massachusetts and south central Middlesex County in Northeastern Massachusetts.

Winds could get up to 60 mph and could damage trees and power lines.

Locations impacted include Worcester, Framingham, Marlborough, Shrewsbury, Milford, Hudson, Westborough, Grafton, Holden, Webster, Southbridge, Ashland, Auburn, Northbridge, Hopkinton, Northborough, Oxford, Holliston, Millbury and Charlton.

Large hail and damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately, said NWS.
