Snow Totals May Vary Widely In Tuesday Winter Storm
Will it be 3, 4 or even 6 inches? Snow totals on Tuesday could vary greatly, similar to two other recent storms.

WORCESTER, MA — Just like the storms on Super Bowl Sunday and Feb. 1, the snowstorm set to begin Tuesday morning will have a vastly different impact depending on where you live.
According to the National Weather Service, communities north of the Mass Pike and west of I-495 could see up to 6 inches by the end of Tuesday. But travel a little east, snow totals could be as little as 2 inches, and perhaps up to 4 inches near Framingham.
The snow is set to begin Tuesday around 8 a.m. in central Massachusetts, and by about 10 a.m. in the Boston area, forecasters say. Almost the whole state north and west of Brockton will be under a winter storm warning until 10 p.m. Tuesday, according to the weather service — and that means slippery, treacherous roads all day whatever the final snow total.

We'll get a break from the snow on Wednesday, but it's in the forecast again for Thursday and Friday.
During the Super Bowl storm, a narrow strip of the state from Franklin northeast to Norwood and Quincy got up to 12 inches. But just a few miles north, towns like Westborough and Wayland only saw about 6 inches total, according to the weather service.

Widespread snow returns tomorrow morning, continuing through the day. Along the south coast snow should mix with and change to rain meaning less accumulations. https://t.co/dl87ctqKEo #mawx #ctwx #riwx pic.twitter.com/EgCDEWI5ul
