Snow in Worcester: What You Need To Know
We have all the details on what you need to know to weather this weekend's storm.

WORCESTER, MA- Weather forecasters say Massachusetts could get as much as one to two feet of snow this weekend. Worcester has already sent out a winter weather advisory and is pre-treating main streets in advance of winter weather. Here's what you need to know to before the storm hits Worcester. We'll update this story with cancellations as we hear of them, but, in the meantime, keep the following in mind:
The quickest way to know when the city declares a snow emergency is to sign up for AlertWorcester, Worcester's reverse emergency notification system. A declared ban is put into effect on all remaining city streets whenever the forecast shows snow that's predicted to accumulate. When a Declared Ban is in effect, restrictions apply that typically allow parking on one side of the street.
If you have more questions you can call the Department of Public Works or consult the city's snow emergency guidelines.
