'Vax Express' Train Rolls Into Worcester Thursday
Free food, music and grocery store gift cards come with coronavirus vaccines at Union Station.

WORCESTER, MA — A unique coronavirus vaccine effort will literally roll into Worcester on Thursday morning.
The Vax Express train will arrive at Union Station at 10 a.m. offering vaccines, entertainment, free food and $25 gift cards to local grocery stores. The event will feature the Pfizer vaccine, which people as young as age 12 can get, and the single-shot Johnson & Johnson version.
The Vax Express is a joint effort between the state, MBTA, CIC Health, Keolis and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.

The special vaccine MBTA trains are touring communities across the state hit hardest by the pandemic. Through June 20, the Vax Express will visit stations in Lawrence, Lowell, Fitchburg and Boston.
The Vax Express will be stationed at platform one at Union Station, 2 Washington Square, until 2 p.m. Thursday.
