Vigil, Tips Campaign Marks 25 Anniversary Of Murdered 10-Year-Old
It's been 25 years since the body of Holly Piirainen was found in the Brimfield woods. The family never gave up trying to find the killer.

STURBRIDGE, MA—The body of 10-year-old Holly Piirainen, who was from Grafton, was found 25 years ago on Oct. 23 in the woods of Brimfield, Massachusetts.
And though it's been 25 years, and the family hasn't stopped looking for the girl's killer, and for the first time are holding a vigil, reports Fox 25 News.
A vigil is being held on Sunday, Oct. 20, in the evening, following a tips campaign in the same location from noon to 6 p.m. at the Sturbridge Host Hotel. The family hopes the campaign will re-ignite the effort to find Piirainen's murderer.

Piirainen was at her grandparents' house in Sturbridge on August 1993 and disappeared when she and her brother went to see a litter of puppies at a neighbor's house, reports the Boston Globe. Piirainen vanished, and her brother walked home alone. Hunters found her body three months later.
No one has been charged with the death, and the family urges people to attend the vigil and attend the tips campaign on Sunday, reports, the Lake 940.
