Welcome Worcester Red Sox Celebration Has Players, Fireworks
Celebrate the official PawSox's move to Worcester downtown. It's got fireworks and everything.

WORCESTER, MA—There are mixed feelings on the major minor league transaction that is bringing the longtime PawSox to Worcester as their new home. But most are downright psyched that the WooSox are calling Worcester the home field.
The City of Worcester is hosting a Worcester Red Sox celebration in conjunction with community partners on Monday, Sept. 17, at 5 p.m. on the Worcester Common Oval.
The event is open to the community and includes appearances by legends of the Boston Red Sox baseball club and players from the Pawtucket Red Sox. The event will be broadcast live on Charter TV3 (channel 193) and on the City of Worcester Government Channel (channel 192) as well as Unity Radio 102.9 FM.
The Canal District Alliance will hold a Block Party from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. with food, games and entertainment for the whole family as well as a fireworks display at 7:30 p.m.
