Wind Advisory For Worcester County Until Thursday Morning

Expect gusts up to 45 MPH well into Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

WORCESTER, MA — The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the Worcester area, warning of gusts that could reach as high as 45 MPH. The advisory goes into effect at 3 p.m. Wednesday and lasts until early Thursday morning.

The advisory affects a large area from I-495 west to Pittsfield, and between the Vermont and Connecticut borders. Anyone in that area can expect winds between 10 and 20 MPH, but with much higher gusts possible, according to the weather service.

The NWS warned that the winds could impede large vehicles, and could knock down tree limbs, leading to power outages.
