WooSox To Sell More Tickets, But Full Polar Park Opening Awaits
Worcester Red Sox fans will be able to buy single tickets starting Monday for Polar Park games that come after the state's full reopening.
WORCESTER, MA — The Worcester Red Sox will soon begin selling more single-game tickets ahead of a series of home games at Polar Park that will come after Massachusetts ends pandemic restrictions on May 29.
Polar Park opened two weeks ago at only about 25 percent capacity, and with very few single-game tickets available. Starting May 24, fans will have access to a larger number of single-game tickets for the June games in Worcester against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs and the Rochester Red Wings (members of the free-to-join Worcester Red Sox Booster Club can buy tickets beginning Saturday).
But Polar Park still won't be at its full capacity of about 9,500 by June. According to the team, the fan dugout will remain closed under MLB coronavirus safety rules. The berm seating area in left field, the Plymouth Promenade and the Summit Street seating will also remain closed until later this summer.
