Worcester 2020 July 4 Fireworks Canceled: See Other Local Events
Worcester's traditional July 4 festivities have been called off, but the city is planning an alternate celebration.
WORCESTER, MA — July 4 events across the country will look different this year thanks to the coronavirus. Many cities and towns have been forced to cancel the annual Independence Day events, including in Worcester.
The Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce announced that the fireworks display set for July 1 would be called off, along with events at Cristoforo Colombo Park. Instead, the city will host an event online July 1 beginning at 7 p.m.
There another local event to watch online: Although the Boston July 4 Fireworks show was canceled, the iconic Boston Pops will still hold a musical performance online.

The event will air on Bloomberg Television, Bloomberg Radio, and Boston's WHDH-TV at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 4. Boston Pops Salute to Our Heroes will also be available to live stream at Bloomberg.com.
