Second Earthquake In 5 Weeks In Central MA

The 1.0 magnitude earthquake didn't cause any damage Monday evening, according to reports.

TEMPLETON, MA — A small earthquake shook up an area of northern Worcester County for the second time in just over a month. The magnitude 1.0 earthquake registered around 6:10 p.m. in the Templeton and Gardner area, according to the Weston Observatory.

The earthquake was said to be minor, and no damage was reported. Templeton Police said they were getting reports of "seismic activity" early Monday evening.

The magnitude 2.2 earthquake that occurred in the area in December came during a storm that knocked out power for thousands in Massachusetts, but that one did not cause any damage, either.
