Worcester Double-Shooting Suspect Arrested: State Police

WORCESTER, MA — State and local police arrested a 21-year-old Worcester man on Monday in connection to an April double-shooting in the downtown area.

Worcester police and members of the state police fugitive task force went to Stafford Street on Monday after getting a tip that suspect Angel Garrastegui might in the area. They arrested him outside a store there, police said.

On the night of April 10, Worcester police went to a home along John Street, where they found two men with gunshot wounds. Police found a third man who had been beaten, and surmised that shooting broke out during an argument.

Worcester police arrested Troy Morvan, 25, that same night after Morvan went to a hospital with injuries from a fight. He was charged with two counts of armed assault to murder and weapons charges.

Garrastegui was arrested on two counts of armed assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a firearm and various gun charges.

The two men shot on April 10 survived, police said.
