Worcester Man Arrested By Fugitive Task Force
U.S. Marshals, state police and Worcester police carried out the arrest Tuesday morning in Main South.
WORCESTER, MA — Local and federal authorities arrested a Worcester man Tuesday morning at a home in the Main South neighborhood, according to Worcester police.
Police and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force went to a home along Beacon Street near 9 a.m. Tuesday to serve the arrest warrant. Worcester police said they found the 43-year-old target of the investigation with a large amount of suspected cocaine and heroin, plus a handgun.
The man was being sought on a warrant for "firearms charges and violent crimes," Worcester police said. He will also be charged with trafficking heroin, trafficking cocaine, unlawful carrying of a firearm, possession of ammunition with a license and improperly storing a gun.
