Worcester Schools Offering Flu Shot Clinics For Students

All students in Massachusetts are required to get flu shots before the end of December under a new order.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester Public Schools, the Family Health Center and Kennedy Community Health will host free flu clinics at three locations for all students on Friday.

The clinics come amid the second wave of coronavirus, and concerns that people seeking treatment for COVID-19 and influenza may overwhelm local hospitals. Gov. Charlie Baker has also mandated that all students in Massachusetts get a flu shot before Dec. 31.

Friday's clinic will offer flu shots, but also other required vaccinations. The clinic will run 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Worcester Technical High School, 1 Skyline Drive; the Claremont and Woodmont academies, 15 Claremont St.; and Worcester East Middle School, 420 Grafton St.
