Worcester To Seek $1.25M State Grant For Table Talk Apartments
The MassWorks grant would help rebuild a closed street near the Kelley Square apartment project.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester will seek a more than $1.25 million MassWorks grant to support an apartment development planned for the Table Talk headquarters and factory in Kelley Square.
In early 2021, the developer Boston Capital revealed plans to turn the Table Talk building into a six-story, 79-unit affordable housing development. That's part of a larger $150 million Boston Capital project in the area that could add a mix of 350 affordable and market-rate apartments around Polar Park.
According to an application, Worcester would use the $1.25 million grant to rebuild Spruce Street between Washington and Green streets, plus rebuild utilities in the area.

Worcester is also requesting $1.02 million from MassWorks for a separate project to rebuild Brookview Drive at the Great Brook Valley complex.
