Worcester Takeout Day: City Mounts Effort To Support Restaurants
The Worcester City Council has declared April 27 takeout day, urging residents to safely patronize local restaurants.

WORCESTER, MA — If you haven't indulged in takeout from a restaurant in Worcester during quarantine, make a mental note to do it on Monday.
The Worcester City Council earlier this month declared April 27 "takeout day," an effort meant to send business to local restaurants during the coronavirus slowdown. The city will use its social media accounts to promote takeout service through Monday.
Although sit-down service has been gone for more than a month, most local bars and restaurants are offering takeout or delivery, either on their own or through apps like GrubHub and DoorDash. Breweries in Worcester are also offering takeout and curbside service during the shutdown — in case you need a beverage to go with dinner.
