Worcester Woman Arrested After Crashing Stolen Truck Into Cruiser

Worcester Police Department has taken a woman into custody after they say she crashed a stolen truck into a police cruiser and took off.

WORCESTER, MA — An officer-involved accident has ended with the driver being taken into custody after police say she crashed a stolen pickup truck into a police cruiser on Main Street in Worcester.

The woman, whose name has not been released, was reported to have crashed a stolen Raymond James Restoration pickup truck around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Police say she tried to enter a drive-thru lane of a McDonald's on Shrewsbury Street, but was instead taken into custody.

The woman was then taken to the hospital for evaluation and the officer is expected to be okay.

The incident remains under investigation.
