Worcester Worst City for People With Disabilities: Study
According to a recent analysis by the personal finance website WalletHub, Worcester's the worst place to be for people with disabilities.

WORCESTER, MA—October is Disability Employment Awareness Month, and according to recent statistics, the unemployment rate for those with disabilities is increasing. People with disabilities, too, have a longer list of considerations when looking for a place to live.
The personal finance website WalletHub examined factors such as accessibility of public facilities, quality of health care or even cleanliness of the air in a recent comparison and in-depth analysis of 2016’s Best & Worst Cities for People with Disabilities, and Worcester came in last on the list, behind Anchorage, AK, and Providence, RI.
In order to ease the process of finding the best place to live while managing a disability, WalletHub’s analysts compared the 150 most populated U.S. cities across 25 key metrics. They range from “number of physicians per capita” to “rate of employed people with disabilities” to “park accessibility.”
