WORCESTER, MA — Shrewsbury Street craft brewer Redemption Rock will reopen its taproom to the public on Friday for the first time since coronavirus shutdowns hit the state, adding to the growing list of local brewers offering sit-down service.

Local brewers have been opening outdoor seating areas since phase 2 of Gov. Charlie Baker's reopening plan went into effect several weeks ago. On Monday, part two of phase two began, which allows indoor dining for the first time since mid-March.

Redemption Rock founder Dani Babineau said in an update that the brewery, 333 Shrewsbury St., will have new rules to keep patrons healthy. The brewery will offer table service, groups will be limited to six people, and all staff and patrons will have to wear a mask, among other guidelines.
