Worst Heat Of 2020 Coming To MA This Weekend
Potentially dangerous heat begins in Massachusetts Saturday, with the worst expected Sunday and Monday.

WORCESTER, MA — If you've been holding off on buying an air conditioner, you might want to head to the store right now.
This weekend will likely be the hottest of the summer so far, with the heat index set to exceed 100 degrees in some parts of the state, according to the National Weather Service. A hazardous weather outlook for everywhere east of Berkshire County was issued for Saturday through Thursday due to the heat.
"Heat advisories will likely be needed for portions of southern New England on Sunday and Monday with heat indices near 100 degrees," the weather service said in the outlook.

The intense heat begins Saturday, when temperatures will be in the low 90s across much of the state. Those temperatures will creep up into the mid-to-upper 90s by Sunday, and even higher on Monday.

Factoring in humidity, the heat index could breach 100 in places like Foxborough, Bedford and Framingham on Monday.
