Be Wary Of Solar Glare, Snow Banks When Driving Around Wrentham

Police chief issues words of caution after two-car crash this morning at West Street and Sheldon Road.

WRENTHAM, MA — Wrentham police are warning to be wary of solar glare with the ground covered in snow, and snow banks blocking views at intersections, after a two-car crash at West Street and Sheldon Road Thursday morning. Wrentham Police Chief Bill McGrath said Sergeant Danny Morris and Officer Steve Eaton found drivers with minor injuries when they responded to the crash at the end of the overnight shift.

The cause of the crash has not be determined.

"Nevertheless, I'll use this opportunity to remind everyone to take a couple extra seconds before pulling out of a side street, slow down a bit," McGrath posted on the Wrentham PD social media page. "Solar glare bouncing off the snow means visibility is challenging. Snow banks and snow piles don’t help either. 'Tis the season for slip, slide, spin, crash so please be careful."
