Gillette Stadium Weapons Suspect Arraigned in Wrentham District Court

Man charged with trespassing, disorderly conduct, possession of an electric stun gun, and three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon.

UPDATED: WRENTHAM, MA - A Connecticut man arrested on New Year’s Day in a parking lot for Gillette Stadium employees was arraigned on Monday in Wrentham District Court.

WHDH reports that Matthew Bromson, 48, of Connecticut, was allegedly thrown out of a nearby hotel on New Year’s Eve. Police were called to help settle him somewhere else.

The next day, police arrested Bromson after a report of a suspicious person located in an off-site parking lot for stadium employees. During a search and investigation of the suspect’s vehicle, an electric stun gun and several sharp-edged weapons were recovered.

Bromson was charged with trespassing, disorderly conduct, possession of an electric stun gun, and three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, according to authorities.

Bromson is due back in court for a pretrial hearing on Jan. 27. He will also face a hearing for the outstanding warrant.
