Police said the girl was walking in the forest off Berry Street when she wandered away. Her father couldn’t find her and called for help.
“Sgt. Rick Mayhew quickly orchestrated an intense search, activating mutual aid from Plainville PD, Franklin PD K9 and Metrolec for additional K9 and search teams,” police said in a statement. ”Fortunately, the effort paid off when the girl was found about an hour later walking along Route 495. She was reunited with a very grateful dad.”
