Beauchemin praised his team's defense.

“The defense was definitely on today,” he said. “Offensively, we had some solid hits that were made into outs. I think there were only two strikeouts during the game. We made good contact today.”

Attleboro head coach Debra Carreiro said, though, it was a tough game, she felt her team did well.

“Honestly, I think we played a good game against them, except for a few blips and blunders on the field,” she said. “We are a young team and we have to work on basic things that should be automatic.”

King Philip will play in Franklin, while Attleboro will play Taunton on Wednesday.
