Person Infected With Measles Shopped, Ate at Wrentham Outlets
The first person diagnosed with measles in Massachusetts this year recently shopped and ate at the Wrentham outlets, officials said.

WRENTHAM, MA — A person infected with measles shopped and ate at the Wrentham Village Premium Outlets earlier this month.
It was one of about a dozen locations the individual visited across Massachusetts May 1-8, state health officials said.
It's the first case of measles in Massachusetts this year.

The person is from Europe and was visiting Massachusetts, officials said.

- Massachusetts General Hospital: Patients and visitors known to have potentially been exposed will be notified by the hospital or the health department.
Anyone who believes they may have been exposed should call their doctor.
Measles starts with fever, runny nose, cough, red eyes and sore throat. It’s followed by a rash that spreads over the body. Measles virus is highly contagious virus and spreads through the air through coughing and sneezing.
A vaccination is available.
