Brian Hamlin Wins 9th Norfolk District Democratic Primary
Hamlin, a Plainville cabinetmaker, will take on Republican incumbent Shawn Dooley on Nov. 3.

WRENTHAM, MA — Brian Hamlin came out on top in the Democratic primary to challenge Republican state Rep. Shawn Dooley on Nov. 3.
Hamlin, a Plainville cabinetmaker, bested Hunter Cohen in the 9th Norfolk District race.
With 100 percent reporting, Hamlin won 4,677 votes, or 59 percent.

The District has been represented by Republican Shawn Dooley for the past six years. He ran unopposed in the Republican primary and is the fifth consecutive Republican to represent the district.

The district includes Norfolk, Plainville, Wrentham and parts of Medfield, Millis and Walpole.
The incumbent is marked with an asterisk (*). The winning candidate is in bold.
