Wrentham Woman Killed In Walpole Crash
The victim's car drove off the left side of the road, struck the guard rail, and rolled before hitting the guard rail again.
WALPOLE, MA — A Wrentham woman was killed in a single-car crash Sunday morning on Interstate 95 north in Walpole. Around 2:54 a.m. State Police arrived on scene after reports of the crash near mile-marker 20.4.
State troopers found a 2017 Ford Escape, which police said drove off the left side of the road, struck the guard rail, and rolled before hitting the guard rail again. The driver, Sara Kaufman, 44, was pronounced dead at the scene.
State Police are working to determine exactly what caused the single-car crash. During the crash response and initial investigation, the left two lanes of the highway were closed. All lanes were opened around 5:52 a.m.
