Active Shooter Reported In Port Huron, Police Give All Clear

After an active shooter was reported at the Blue Water YMCA building Monday, Port Huron authorities said the claim was inaccurate.

PORT HURON, MI — Reports of an active shooter at the Blue Ribbon YMCA building in Port Huron prompted a shelter in place order, but the reports were inaccurate, authorities said.

According to WBTI, the Port Huron Police on Monday responded to reports of a suspicious looking man entering the Blue Ribbon YMCA building in the city. At least one caller believed the man was armed, the station reported.

Police searched the building and checked surveillance video form the site, reporting around 10 a.m. that the man was unarmed and was actually a construction worker, according to WBTI.
